TIP #1: Install A Urinal
Given that approximately 80% of washroom visits involve urination only, it is advisable to complement your Cinderella® Incineration Toilet with the Cinderella® Unisex Urinal. This combination will effectively reduce your energy consumption, maintenance, repairs and the use of bowl liners.
The acidity and salts in urine can cause your Cinderella® to wear out faster if regular maintenance and steam-cleaning aren't kept up. Overfilling is the most common problem in rental or business applications, which is hard to avoid if caffeine, alcohol or general bowel/bladder issues are at play.
There might not be enough space to add the urinal, or there could be regulations about installing one. It's a good idea to make sure you have the right paperwork for users and to keep up with a daily maintenance routine.
TIP #2: Guides, Education and Information
Businesses and rental properties usually offer helpful instructional videos, pamphlets, and "How-To" guides near the Cinderella® to make it easy for users or clients to learn more before and during use. Feel free to download and print the following documents to help new or existing users get the hang of your Cinderella®.

- Understanding Overfilling (PDF) - It's perfectly normal to see a bit of corrosion over time, even though we use top-notch stainless steel and Incoloy materials. If you're using the toilet in a cabin, it should last around 4-6 years before you need to replace any parts. For daily use, you might notice a bit more wear and tear, so a little self-maintenance and service will help keep everything running smoothly.

TIP #3: Developing Your Maintenance Routine
Incineration toilets are a relatively recent innovation in North America, and as such, users may encounter some initial challenges. Unlike traditional plumbing systems, these toilets incorporate electronic, metallic, and other components that are subject to wear and tear.
Implementing effective maintenance routines can significantly reduce operating costs and minimize product wear. It is highly recommended that users adhere to the maintenance guidelines provided in the manual.
- Empty the toilet frequently. Do not base your use on the maximum limit of the appliance.
- Always clean the ash container and insert it when emptied.
- Always perform the steam cleaning preferably after each emptying and washing of the ash container. Once per day, or at least weekly depending on usage.
- Always observe the end result characteristics when emptying the toilet. Deviations in the end result may indicate the need for maintenance, installation adjustments or service.

TIP #4: Spare Parts
Incineration toilets function similarly to small furnaces. Like other household appliances or machinery, these units necessitate periodic replacement of components due to regular use, which leads to natural wear and tear over time. For example, parts such as the heating element, fans, catalyst, spark plug, and ash container insert are prone to degradation and will require periodic replacement.
Cinderella® and its affiliates offer genuine spare parts for all their units, making it advantageous for companies and businesses to keep spare parts on hand for unexpected downtime or even for preventative maintenance.

TIP #5: Back-up Facilities
New users, children, individuals with bowel, and instances where liners are not used or forgotten can result in urine or feaces being spilled outside the liner. This can lead to liquid splashing inside the unit rather than into the ash container, causing buildup and corrosion around the incineration lid. In rental and business properties, various unusual occurrences and mishaps can arise. It is advisable to be well-prepared for such situations.
Appliances, machines and ventilation systems naturally require regular maintenance, inspection and replacement parts over time. Sometimes, these tasks will require the units to be out of commission until the work is completed. Many rental properties and businesses have back-up toilet for when the unit is down for routine maintenance.
