The Cinderella Urinal is a water-free toilet solution that is intended for urination only (toilet paper must be disposed of separately).
Given that approximately 80% of washroom visits involve urination only, it is advisable to complement your Cinderella Incineration Toilet with the Cinderella Unisex Urinal. This combination will effectively reduce your energy consumption, maintenance, repairs and the use of bowl liners.
Cinderella Urinal is equipped with an odour barrier, preventing undesirable odours inside the toilet room. The solution does not require a barrier liquid, and is therefore always frost proof. The urine is discharged to a suitable receptacle such as a sand filter or a collection tank.
The acidity and salts in urine can cause your Cinderella Incineration Toilet to wear out faster if regular maintenance and steam-cleaning aren't kept up. Overfilling is the most common problem in rental or business applications, which is hard to avoid if caffeine, alcohol or general bowel/bladder issues are at play.
There might not be enough space to add the urinal, or there could be regulations about installing one. It's a good idea to make sure you have the right paperwork for users and to keep up with a daily maintenance routine.

If there is no pre-existing plumbing, it's important to choose a urine filtration system that suits your specific needs and meets local regulations. Consulting with a professional in wastewater management or plumbing can help you determine the best system for your situation.
Filtration Systems
As for where or which to purchase, it is always best to first consult with your local governing body as they would have more information on which solution is acceptable for your location.
1. Sand Filters: as mentioned earlier, are effective urine filtration systems. They use a layer of sand to filter out impurities, bacteria, and odours from urine. Sand filters are low-cost, low-maintenance, and environmentally friendly.
2. Bio-filters: use a combination of organic materials, such as peat moss or coconut coir, along with beneficial microorganisms to break down and treat urine. These systems rely on the natural biological processes to filter and treat the urine, reducing the odour and harmful components.
4. Grey-water Systems: can also be used to filter and treat urine, along with other wastewater sources like sink and shower water. These systems collect and treat the wastewater, which can then be used for non-potable purposes such as irrigation or toilet flushing.
Developing Your Maintenance Routine
Keeping your urinal clean is a breeze! Just give it a gentle wipe with a soft, damp cloth. Be sure to avoid dry cloths or scrubbing too hard, as this might leave scratches.
After cleaning, rinse it well. You can use most household detergents, just steer clear of those with chlorine. For disinfection, antibacterial soaps with hydrogen work great. Try to keep it away from fruit juice, squash, wine, chlorine, solvents, water hotter than 80°C (176°F), and abrasive products.
Many customers choose to place a urinal puck in the bowl for added cleanliness and septic solutions.

Pairing the urinal with a Cinderella Incineration Toilet
Incineration toilets are a relatively recent innovation in North America, and as such, users may encounter some initial challenges. Unlike traditional plumbing systems, these toilets incorporate electronic, metallic, and other components that are subject to wear and tear.
As previously mentioned, the urinal is a great companion for the incineration toilets, but keeping your main unit clean is important as well!
Implementing effective maintenance routines can significantly reduce operating costs and minimize product wear. It is highly recommended that users adhere to the maintenance guidelines provided in the manual.
- Empty the toilet frequently. Do not base your use on the maximum limit of the appliance.
- Always clean the ash container and insert it when emptied.
- Always perform the steam cleaning preferably after each emptying and washing of the ash container. Once per day, or at least weekly depending on usage.
- Always observe the end result characteristics when emptying the toilet. Deviations in the end result may indicate the need for maintenance, installation adjustments or service.
